Beautiful sunny skies over a sea of low-clouds
This past November, the long-lasting blocking high-pressure conditions resulted in often cloudy, gray and monotone skies over the Swiss Plateau. For those souls looking to escape this monotony, all it took was a drive up into the Alps or Jura mountains above 1000 meters in order to enjoy a totally different atmosphere, one filled with abundant sunshine, warmth and a breathtaking view of the Alpine peaks standing tall above a sea of low-clouds covering the Plateau underneath. For the seasoned eye, among the famous peaks visible were the majestic Mont-Blanc, the Matterhorn, the Dent Blanche, the Dents du Midi and given the crystal clear air, even the distant Bernese Alps including the Jungfrau could be observed...
